Shape the Future with Cresstec

At Cresstec, we believe innovation should drive a cleaner, smarter, more sustainable world. Our name stands for Carbon Reducing Energy Saving Solutions and Technologies, and that’s exactly what we deliver.

We’re developing world-first products that are redefining how industries manage energy, reduce emissions, and move towards net zero. From HVAC optimisation and power generation to automotive, aerospace, marine propulsion, and hydrogen technologies, Cresstec is engineering the change.

Our flagship technologies, REED (Regulating Efficiency & Emissions Device) and HDAC (HVAC - R Data Acquisition & AI Control) are proven, breakthrough solutions. And with several other cutting-edge developments in the pipeline, this is your opportunity to design the future.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Designer with a mechanical background to join our growing engineering team.
This is a clean-sheet design role, you’ll take ownership of new product concepts from idea to production-ready prototype. You’ll collaborate with engineers, scientists, and innovators to turn world-first ideas into manufacturable, market-ready solutions.

Every day brings a new challenge — new materials, new systems, new possibilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead industrial and mechanical design for novel clean-tech products.

  • Create and refine 3D CAD models, concept renders, and production drawings.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and R&D teams on design integration and validation.

  • Develop prototypes and support testing, iteration, and design optimisation.

  • Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and sustainability standards.

  • Present concepts, progress, and insights to stakeholders.

  • Contribute to a culture of learning — teach, mentor, and be mentored.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial or mechanical design.

  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent).

  • Sound understanding of materials, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.

  • A creative, analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capability.

  • Passionate about sustainability, energy innovation, and future-focused design.

  • A self-starter who thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments.
