Sustainability without sacrifice

It began with a belief that better environmental outcomes should also make better business sense.

Founded by three like-minded professionals, Cresstec was created around a simple principle: sustainability should not require customers to sacrifice performance, convenience or efficiency.

CRESSTEC stands for Carbon Reducing Energy Saving Solutions and Technologies. The name still defines the work—developing novel, compliant products that deliver measurable returns for customers.

Two jobs. One purpose.

Create new knowledge. Turn it into outcomes.

Create new knowledge

Research HVAC-R behaviour, test theories and build the evidence required to understand how systems perform under real, changing conditions.

Turn knowledge into outcomes

Convert validated research into protected algorithms, controls and commercial technologies with measurable customer results.

Cresstec capability

Built to measure what conventional testing misses.

The Cresstec HVAC-R Research & Development Testing Facility— CHRDTF—opened at North Rocks in February 2016 to investigate HVAC and vapour-compression performance in static and transient conditions.

Static + transient

Testing across steady and changing operating states

Half-second data

Capturing starts, stops and changing load

Fault simulation

Refrigerant, airflow and common operating faults

Commercial application

Evidence supporting HDAC and REED development
