Cresstec and BGIS take out Department of Defence Security and Estate Group 2024 "Innovation of the Year Award" with REED

The team at Cresstec are excited to announce in conjunction with BGIS Australian Government Department of Defence account team that we have won the Security and Estate Group 2024 "Base Services Innovation of the Year Award". Together we were recognised for the implementation of our REED HVAC-R product, applied to the built environment on the RAAF Base Richmond estate. 

“BGIS completed a 15-month trial of REED which achieved an enormous average energy saving of 40.05%. That’s an annual reduction of 25 megawatts hours of electricity consumption, and over 20 tonnes of carbon emissions,” said Matthew Smith, General Manager, Integrated Services, Defence and Head of Innovation. “We foresee significant national scale benefits including environmental, sustainable, cost savings, and equipment longevity.”
