01 / THE CHALLENGE

Reduce HVAC cost in an environment that rarely slows down

Quick-service restaurants combine long trading hours, high internal heat loads, frequent door openings and constantly changing occupancy. Comfort must be protected while kitchen and dining conditions move throughout the day.

The commercial question was whether the existing HVAC could be optimised without disrupting service—and whether the savings could be demonstrated at unit level after installation.

The restaurant could not trade comfort for efficiency. The system had to deliver both, continuously.

02 / THE CRESSTEC APPROACH

Measure what it uses. Measure what it produces. Control from both.

HDAC builds the proof into the optimisation process—on the equipment already installed. Anything less isn't HDAC.

01

Measure the real load

Capture HVAC power, delivered heating or cooling and conditions across the unit as the restaurant load changes.

02

Optimise continuously

Adjust compressor and fan operation in real time while preserving the conditions required for service.

03

Prove the annual result

Use measured unit data and weather-normalised analysis to quantify the annual saving after commissioning.

The saving exceeded the business case.

03 / VERIFIED RESULTS

Measured annual HVAC savings finished more than 70% above the 25% pre-install estimate while the restaurant continued operating.
