The Mission
Your mission as a Manufacturing Engineer at Cresstec is to design and optimise production processes that ensure our products are manufactured with the highest efficiency, quality, and sustainability. You'll play a crucial role in transforming innovative designs into reality, driving continuous improvement, and reducing waste to support our mission of creating a cleaner, energy-efficient future.
Outcomes

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing systems and processes for our hardware products. This role involves working closely with design and production teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the manufacturing environment.

You will manage and prioritize projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and final products.

You will develop production systems for manufacturing, loading and testing of products, including production files, production rigs and jigs and other related equipment.

You will plan manufacturing system integration to help the production line scale, both with new products and to expand the volume of existing products.

You will support the design for manufacture process and review of internal designs.

You will stay current with the latest manufacturing technologies and trends, evaluating their applicability to our products and operations.
Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering or a related field

Experience in manufacturing engineering and process development, preferably in hardware or electronic products.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a small team, demonstrating strong collaboration and communication skills.

Have experience in C and/or C++ programming languages

Proficiency in CAD software for designing fixtures and tooling.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and practices.

Some experience with GUI and cloud platforms is desirable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechatronic engineering or equivalent, with hands-on experience in integrating Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency and data management.
