The Mission 

Your mission as a Manufacturing Design Engineer at Cresstec is to design and optimise production processes that ensure our products are manufactured with the highest efficiency, quality, and sustainability. You'll play a crucial role in transforming innovative designs into reality, driving continuous improvement, and reducing waste to support our mission of creating a cleaner, energy-efficient future.

Outcomes 

    • Designing and prototyping mechanical and electromechanical solutions
    • Working with other engineering teams to design and build prototypes and production versions of products
    • Developing and conducting tests and experiments to evaluate prototypes and products
    • Creating engineering drawings based on relevant standards
    • Contributing to the improvement of mechanical capabilities and processes
    • Maintaining up to date knowledge on manufacturing technologies and trends
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to determine technical specs, guided by the product manager


Knowledge & Skills

    • 1+ years experience working in a similar role
    • Previous experience as an engineer capable of considering mechanical, electronics, and software in designs is preferred
    • Proficiency in mechanical design, manufacturing processes and standards
    • Demonstrated understanding of various manufacturing processes: 3D printing, sheet metal, injection moulding
    • Experience in product development processes and design
    • Experience with mechanical designs operating with high pressure fluids is preferred
    • Knowledge on refrigeration and HVAC systems is preferred
    • Proficiency with AutoDesk Fusion is preferred
